Don’t trash your old computer – put it to good use instead!

Just bought a fancy new computer with all the bells and whistles, and now you’re wondering what to do with the old one? Well, before you take it to the local landfill, why not consider putting it to good use?

The Algonquin Township Road District has entered into the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity program whereby obsolete computers are recycled and the receipts from this program are used to build homes here in Northern Illinois.

Your old computer CPU's, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, etc. can continue to serve.

Algonquin Township Road District accepts used computers for specialized recycling on the last Saturday of each month from March through October...8:00 a.m. till Noon.

Also, please...no monitors.  If you would like to get rid of your old monitor, please call Sytec America at 1-847-516-0250.  The firm has a local office in Cary.  There is a fee for each monitor.

For answers to any questions you may have regarding our services, please call the Algonquin Township Highway Department office at (847)639-2700, Ext. 6
